If you were expecting something longer, sorry to disappoint. It’s not short for anything. Not an abbreviation. Just four letters, quick to say, quicker to forget. I haven’t said it out loud in a while. Doesn’t mean I forgot it. I just stopped wasting breath on people who didn’t matter. Which, spoiler, is almost everyone.
I used to have a last name. Can’t remember it, not even the first letter. It’s gone, and probably for the best. That part of me didn’t make it. So now it’s just Mira. Write it down. You’ll need it later.
